A MIP Backend for the IDP System
نویسندگان
چکیده
The IDP knowledge base system currently usesMiniSAT(ID) as its backend Constraint Programming (CP) solver. A few similar systems have used a Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) solver as backend. However, so far little is known about when the MIP solver is preferable. This paper explores this question. It describes the use of CPLEX as a backend for IDP and reports on experiments comparing both backends.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID): A Technology for Enhancing Computerized Maintenance System (CMMS)
Abstract While Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) enables maintenance managers and supervisors to access information about equipment, manpower and maintenance policies, there is still a need to facilitate getting data/information into the backend database where it can be utilized by the organization as information to make decisions regarding the operation of the organization. Si...

Background and purpose: Nosocomial outbreaks of legionnaires’ diseases are usually related to contamination of water sources. This survey investigated the frequency of mip gene in cold and warm water taps and water containers of infant incubators containing legionella pneumophila in hospitals of Guilan province, Iran. Materials and methods: This cross-sectional study used 140 samples. They wer...
متن کاملComparison and Supply Chain Optimization for Vendor-Buyer Coordination System
Here, we consider single vendor-buyer model with multi-product and multi-customer and multi-facility location-production-distribution problem. It is assumed that the players of the supply chain are coordinated by sharing information. Vendor manufactures produce different products at different plants with limited capacities and then distribute the products to the consumers according to determini...
متن کاملACO-Based Neighborhoods for Fixed-charge Capacitated Multi-commodity Network Design Problem
The fixed-charge Capacitated Multi-commodity Network Design (CMND) is a well-known problem of both practical and theoretical significance. Network design models represent a wide variety of planning and operation management issues in transportation telecommunication, logistics, production and distribution. In this paper, Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) based neighborhoods are proposed for CMND pro...
متن کاملDIBS: a repository of disordered binding sites mediating interactions with ordered proteins
Motivation Intrinsically Disordered Proteins (IDPs) mediate crucial protein-protein interactions, most notably in signaling and regulation. As their importance is increasingly recognized, the detailed analyses of specific IDP interactions opened up new opportunities for therapeutic targeting. Yet, large scale information about IDP-mediated interactions in structural and functional details are l...
